Not sure about the exact prices, Bob, but I believe between $1K and $3.5K. Don't quote me on that, though. In any case, WAY cheaper than your average Sonus faber...

It looks like the blade/airfoil design is really becoming popular.

The best looking one, in my opinion, is the stand-mount. Not crazy about the generic grilles, the painted logo (instead of the traditional golden plate, which has been a part of every single SF until now, if I am not mistaken), the binding posts nor the glass bases. I do like the center channel, though. I might consider replacing my Polk Audio center/surround channels down the road.

Is this the line of SF that's made in China? They look really nice. Thanks for sharing.

Look-wise, they remind me of the CM series from B&W crossed with Aida, for some reason. Nice, I agree, and certainly nicer than 90% of what's out there, for sure. But, in all honesty, they do not possess the timeless drop-dead beauty and elegance of most of the rest of the SF lines, including the cheaper ones (not that they were going for that look/style anyway). After looking at these photos, I do have to say that my love and admiration for my Toy Towers has just increased. I guess I am more of a "leather/wood/classic-look" guy instead of the "glossy/generic/modern" style the Venere line seems to be aiming for. Sound-wise it might be a different story, though. I'm curious as well and would like to audition them. The bigger stand-mount seems to be the best deal in the entire line, going by specs alone. |
