Hmmm; Idiots at work......Ok I'll play....here's a pic of a dump truck from 2 nights ago from the company I work for. The driver was headed down the highway at 65-70 mph and had forgotten his body was all the way up.........until he hit a bridge overpass

It surprises me a little that there isn’t some sort of hmmm, ‘idiot’ light on the dash to alert the driver to that situation... seems the manufacturer never went through a failure mode analysis.

The truck has to handle differently, the pto while engaged makes a noise that isn't normally there, the rear window now has light coming through it, of course a quick glance in either mirror might show something is amiss to. I wouldn't be surprised if there's an "idiot" lite on the dash to. How someone can overlook all those warning signs is beyond me

While it may be fun to poke at, most of us do stupid things or at least the ones not afraid to move past their comfort zone.

My philosophy is to find the time and resource to train, and train continually and limit ones ability to contribute until qualified, especially when safety is a factor.

The cause and effect of these actions usually could be prevented with training, however, training takes time and in smaller business, time is seldom when everyone’s pushed to perform, let alone finding the resource to dedicate, the ones that do become the mega companies albeit with their own set of problems.

I work with a sizable group of people, and admittedly I’m gonna use this video as training to the Management group and watch their reactions knowing what the outcome will be and push the boulder uphill to instill change.
