Hey guys new here and wanted to chime in as also proud owner of a new XA30.8 about three months ago. I upgraded from a First Watt J2. The J2 is a very nice sounding amp but the XA30.8 sounds just as good but far more muscular. J2 on Steroids. lol I love the 30.8 proly be my last amp.

I own an XA-30.8 and I absolutely love it. It has a very firm grip on my SHL5 pluses.

Anyone compared the unit against the Ayre VX5? Both seem to get great reviews.

Paul... I currently own a 30.5. I wish it had just a bit more bass. I have been thinking of the MC452. Could you offer some thoughts on the bass performance between your 30.8 and the MC452?

Both go well down low!
The pass I feel is better for female vocals by far also with class A there seems to be less congestion it's smooth and fast,
and the pass is faster the the Mc452 in my view.
Another thing I like about the pass is when the music changes from a quiet passage to loud passage it frightens you it's like a supper charger has kick in!!! I like that.
What I like also is when the pass leaves class A it gets a bit angry and takes command of everything.
Again I think the mc452 was good! I was after something more, I believe The Pass is more!!
And to think this is there starting point in class A amp imagine the XA100.8s

That's great! I've heard nothing but good things about that one! I'm happy to hear its competitive with the MC452.

Paul ... I've decided to make the jump to the 30.8, based partly on your thoughts here. I'm doing a swap through RenoHifi; Mark is great to work with. It should arrive in a couple of weeks.
