Default Jazz archtops and SET's just go together!
C1 says hey all!

My last system before a 7 year hiatus consisted of home made solid Sapele open baffles, made by Woodsage in Seattle..can you say SET integ's and bass???







Most recent return and acquisitions, are a PWD II, matched to Dennis Had's new line of Inspire amps. The Inspire KT88, 6V6, and LS2 pre. Looking forward to driving a pair of Cain & Cain Abby's w/ a Bailey sub. The 'stats remain to get my occasional fix...old habits die hard. And of course no system is complete without a pair of archtops...haven't U heard!?

Now, what's this I've been hearin' about computer audio? - says the long time vinyl fanatic.

Coltrane1, welcome aboard. Nice looking setup you have, beautiful guitars. Congrats on the PWD MKII, I love mine. Are you using the bridge or the USB?

Thank you. No bridge, as I'm still a dyed in the wool vinyl guy...but I don't mind sticking a toe in the water.

I discovered DH on the 'bay after fumbling through too many import integrated's to mention...for weeks. I thought I was done with separates after discovering SET integ's. That's what happens when your wattage needs change...but nooooo, here DH had to drag me back in with his new creations. My amps are about a week to two out. But I'm looking forward to sampling the 6v6 on me Abby's.

Those are very beautiful archtops Coltrane, they must sound exquisite. I've owned several archtops myself, a Comins Concert, Gibson L-5 CESN and Benedetto Fratello. But having learned to play on a classical guitar, I've since gone back to my Ramirez and prefer playing jazz in the Charlie Byrd style.

Thank you. You've owned archtops out of my pay grade, but I love looking at them.

My latest acquisition is a '72 Gibson Super 400 in superb shape...my first real big box outside of an 18" Heritage Super Kenny Burrell model. I prefer big boxes.
