Find a way to get the best of both worlds. Keep the 3500's and add sub's. I too was running out of floor space but realized what good quality subs would add to my system. I made a compromised, smaller subs JL f110v2 which helped reduce the footprint but still got enough extra punch to improve the overall sound of the system.
My Christmas project while I'm off work is to remove a MEM220 and integrate a used CR-1 purchased here from Famester V1 (Fred). By the way, let me give a shoot out to Fred, quality guy, quality product, highly recommended. Thanks Fred. Anyway, my point is I would be disappointed if I didn't have the subs, I'm NOT disappointed that I have less space.
