We're building a new home and downsizing in the process. Will probably switch up some components that made our main system as part of the move. As we're downsizing into an open floor plan with more hard surfaces compared to the old listening room (such as tile floor with area rugs vs. wall-to-wall carpeting), I know we'll have some challenges, so we'll take it one step at a time. Pre-drywall wiring is going into the new home now, and I'm happy that we can re-use some longer interconnects and speaker wire from the old home. The installer my builder is using specializes in high-end build hifi so we've been able to talk the same language once he got on site.

This year I hope to hang on to my purse strings a little tighter and enjoy the sound systems I have assembled. As it stands at the moment, I have no reason to add or subtract anything to the living room system or the studio system. Time will ultimately reveal the truth. .
Dan....knowing how this hobby is, and based on past history, this is probably a safer and more realistic assessment than past proclamations of "that's it, I'm not spending another dime on audio gear!".

As for myself, I'm somewhat in the same camp as Dan. I'm so very satisfied with everything now, there isn't much of a need to add, subtract or replace anything. But, I never say never.

A couple of things that do have my attention however....at some point in the near future (hopefully) I plan to try at least one Furutech Flux-50 filter.

Another item that has my attention is the JBL Synthesis L82 Classic (not available until April). Just announced at CES, it is essentially a scaled down version of the L100 classic, which has been quite a success. In the tradition of the L100, it has the same Quadrex grille (which I admit has allure with me). It is a 2-way ported system with an 8" woofer:

https://www.jblsynthesis.com/product...UDSPEAKER.html

I see these as a possible upgrade for my 4401's which reside in the front channels of my 5.1 channel bedroom theater system. Once they are available for purchase, they will retail at $2500/pair.

Thirdly, Dan has me interested in the Aurender Music Server. Quite a slick unit.

Year to date:

I Picked up a Pass Labs X250.8 and XP-22 and Shunyata Sigma speaker cables to pair with the end of 2019 arrival of Dynaudio Confidence 20 speakers for the family room. It is a nice upgrade over the modest home theater system I have in place.

Next on the list will be a renovation of my 2 channel system that I just couldn’t get to work for me. To that end, I will be selling the Simaudio 740P, 400 monos and the Shunyata Typhon QR. Then I will eventually rebuild.

Wow Terry, you have an exciting year indeed....congrats.

I built a dedicated 2 channel room with an acoustician years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. Best of luck.

Pete.......I just checked out the JBL L82 Classic ($2500/pair). I think it will be a big seller for JBL. I like that JBL carried over the aesthetics of the L100 Classic to the L82 Classic, providing the same three grill color choices. I'd be interested in seeing what the JBL JS-80 floor stands ($250/pair) look like and how high they place the speakers. I could see a par of JBL L82 Classics replacing you JBL 4401's as front channel mains in your home theater system. I'd like to hear a pair of L82 Classics, and a pair of the L100 Classics.

Oh, just as an addendum, so far in 2020 I haven't spent one dime on audio gear. .

Dan....yes, these definitely have my attention. As to the stands, for my application I need the speakers about 34 to 35 inches off the floor. I'm pretty sure the JBL stand isn't going to be nearly that tall. But there are plenty of really nice stands out there...
