I know the Aerial Acoustics 7T speaker cabinet is made in China, and final assembly done in the states. The cabinet is gorgeous. This $10k speaker would probably cost $15-$20k if everything was done here.
I read the other day the British company, Cambridge-Audio, has their gear designed in England, and built in China. |

I think Triode Corporation amps are designed in Japan and made in China by Line Magnetic Audio.

Macs are really nice. I would love to own a stack. But the Macs are expensive, too much so for my wallet. I heard Mac amp-preamp driving some Magnepan 1.7's. Very nice indeed!

I try to still buy made in USA but it's tough. I took a gamble and bought a YBA WD202 dac, designed in France, made in China. Guess what ? It's a great DAC for the money, build quality is excellent , metal remote, remote volume and source selection, USB, balanced in and outs, and can double as a preamp. I bought it more for convenience and casual listening but I find myself listening to it often.

Mingda amps are very well received in Australia. But I don't see it mentioned much here.
