I have played KISS Destroyer on 180g virgin vinyl newly remixed from the original analog tapes. Through the MC2301s, the album is spacious & 3 dimensional.

Like many will agree, the MC2301s with GL KT88 reissues ROCK! And for a little more resolution, they do even better with TFK ECC801S NOS tubes to compliment the Gold Lions.

JBL 4345 have 97db sensitive and I am not sure about 1,2kw ))) mc601 max

And one more thing! Esoteric very detailed and neutral player and preamp! Thats why with AVM monoblocks I have analityc sound not suitable for Rock

About tubes and SS.

SS don not give me high and mid like tubes, but ss have more tight bass

its a compromise and I dont know what to do )))
Mike - with those efficient speakers and wanting the sweetest mid range and highs, the 2301's are the ticket. They won't even break a sweat and you will love them.

Mike

Michael.......Congratulations. You are in for a real treat. The McIntosh MC2301's will rock those JBL's like you've never heard them before. Great choice of SME turntable, too. I will be looking forward to your reports as the system comes together.

Michael... Congratulations for becoming a part of the magical & exclusive MC2301 Club!

No rush for a tube upgrade but you will eventually be summoned by a greater power to do so. The MC2301s whisper to you, resistance is futile.

When you are ready to make your MC2301s sparkle even more Bob (vintage_tube) will write you a prescription.
