Default Sony XB-90 ex; goodies for the grate unwashed

I'm having a hard time getting over the Live music scene, and it's coruscatin' blaze of sound, but Sony's care for the low waged, or more accurately, low real estated, continues apace. Stuck with 128kpbs downloads? Don't worry, the nwz e 474 mp3 uncompresses 'em. Don't want the faffle of a h/phone amp, the xb-41 ex and 90 obviates the need.

Top banana's all round then. So to the xb-90 ex. Obviously the bass and sub bass is really out there, but what else. Soundstage is as big as a circus tent, and detail is subtly deep. Decay is satisfactory, and imaging, your peering into the sound booth, face close to the glass. Perhaps you'll be in the mic when the F 886 comes out. With this comment I'm comparing it to grossly more expensive in ears, not it's rivals. Sibilance can be zoned out entirely, by lowering the bass eq, but not all the way, as the mids are not in danger, and it is tightly controlled for gentle classical and really produces the emotional goodies with 50's Miles, really no other in ear I've known does this. Treble takes a mild hit, but is not blown away. It's very business like in presenting the whole. It's a deeply enjoyable sound.

When your up against a wall of JH 13's and 009's, it's hard to wash the grate, but Mike rates it as well, so I've put it up, agin the void.
