I very much enjoyed the new discussion of Lyra cartridges. I'm especially keen on the comments highlighting the Lyra advances demonstrated in the awesome new Atles. As I've said before I'm a recent owner of the Kleos.

Ooops! Hit the send button too quick, sorry. The point I am so eager to make is to Lyras' credit. Having owned a good mix of the most renounced carts around, I was struck by how well the sound of the Kleos mimicked the naturalness of tone of a recent live concert I attended. Non of the other well known carts did so well in my system. Based on the insightful comments you guys have made I'm convinced the Atlas takes this breakthrough to a whole new level of precision. From these observations alone I am very impressed with the new Atlas. I hasten to add that I remain completely satisfied with Kleos...... For now!

Thing that has struck me is that the Titan is essentially a ten or so year old design and still stands among the very best cartridges available. Quite a statement.

But the Atlas is in a different league

Absence makes the heart grow fonder Works for women. Works for audio I'd have to say that Jonathan Carr is one of the more underappreciated cartridge designers out there!
