Question What do you use to align your cartidges?

My Shelter 501 arrived today and I'll need to mount and align it. What would you suggest that is effective and affordable. I was thinking the Mobile Fidelity Geo Disc could be the ticket

My dealer used a Dr. Feickert Protractor and it was really easy to use and very accurate. I will be getting one soon.

I have a Feickert, Mint and expensive Uni tractor.

Honestly Don, use the VPI protractor.
Harry has a unique alignment on his tables and as long as you have the cartridge parrallel and the sylus on the dot, it wll sound great.
When I had my VPI HRX I preferred the VPI alignment guage to my Mint tractor.

cheers

There really is nothing unique on a VPI 19jr with a PT 9 arm, I believe that's the arm Don has on his table.....your dealing with a Jelco arm not a VPI arm......Jelco made the PT9 arm for Audioquest and that was one of the 19jr package combos offered from VPI. Any one of the protractors mentioned above will get the job done just some will be more precise then others.
