The GUI is as slick as they come. The screen resolution is a joy to view. The human interface is as old fashioned as a jukebox in a booth at the diner.

So you can just look at the screen, but not have to get up.

For $250 you can buy the apple TV hardware http://www.apple.com/appletv/what-is.html and use the wireless itunes remote app with a ipad to have the same kind of interface as the sooloos only the ipad screen is smaller but it is a fraction of the cost and is truly portable. The sonos interface while not as slick looking works fine for me. I also like that all my music is very to easy to back up using time machine .

I feel positive that Meridian keeps an eye on the high-end audio forums, and is well aware of the general attitude about lack of wireless control for their touch screen monitor. I have little doubt wireless monitor connectivity will be included in the next version of the Sooloos, and is likely being engineered as we speak.
Meridian wants a Sooloos in all high-end systems. The CEO probably cringes when he reads that his target audience finds Sooloos lacking due to no wireless connectivity with the touch screen, and that these same people want a Sooloos, but won't make a purchase due to this omission. It represents a huge missed opportunity.
