Hi Jim,

Take a vacation over here and will show you e marvel of this new gadget from Apple. When you are done, i will tempt you further by havin one new unopened set ready for you just in case you cannot wait.

It's so good, I have 3 in the house. One for me, one for my better half (who actually took over when I had the first one only for 2 days) and a third - the unopened one for my daughters to share - reading the eBooks I bought for them. Save so many bookshelf space, not to mention avoiding the collection of dust in the long run.

It's great stuff. MacBook Air is out! This is the new Big Thing!

Seeing you soon Jim? Howie will be in a days time.

Cheers!

The rumor of a second sightly smaller iPad around the first of the year might get me to move. The current one is too close in size to the Air.

David and Jerry
The size just seems a bit funky. You cannot sit and use it to read with one hand while you are eating or drinking in a resturaunt or on a plane like you can with an iPhone or Pocket PC. I keep several items open on my Air while listening to music. My Music Collector program, Safari with multiple tabs to AA, A-Gon, the Stock market, and CNN, plus Firefox with the Web Browser for the Olive 4HD.

I just took a weeklong vacation at a lake in Iowa, and brought both my MacBook and iPad with me. I took the MacBook because I had some work to do on the flight out, but after that I didn't open it once. The iPad was perfect for a vacation... reading a book, surfing the web from time to time, dealing with the occasional email, playing a game here and there... far superior to what a laptop would have been like (bulkier, much less social, far shorter battery life). Obviously it's bigger than an iPod or iPhone, but it's still much more portable than a laptop, and in every respect it offers a better user experience given its larger screen. I had no complaints using it to read on my flight home, and did so for 3 hours straight.

There is a new Sonos app for the iPad coming any day now. There's a demo video of it on their website...
