Howie,

I did get the 650BR about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I'm running HDMI out to the Arcam AVR 600. This replaced my Pioneer Elite BDP-95FD Blu-ray player which was rather slow at loading discs (up to 2 minutes). Load time for the 650BR is 30 sec. Audio and video quality is stunning. I haven't had a chance to play any SACD or DVD-A yet as it is not a priority. It will be used primarily for movies. The draw tray is the cheap plastic type like the Pioneer Elite which I always hate (flimsy). I have never heard or played with the oppo 83 or 83SE. But from the reviews it seems to be as good or even better the 650. Which ever player you decide to get I'm sure you will be very happy with it. But neither one will ever compete with your mighty Meridian 808i 2

Thanks. My Meridian is cd only so the BR player would be for high res and BR discs with the latter 99% of the use. How do you like the Arcam. I think it is a killer HT amp

The AVR 600 does an excellent job watching blue ray, SAT, and sonos . I really enjoy the dolby volume when watching satellite TV. But what I love the best is the downsizing of boxes and cables. What I don’t like is no balance inputs. The cable I was using for the F113 is XLR. So I need to buy a new quality RCA cable. Home Theater: Arcam AVR600 A/V Receiver

Howie,

How much does the Accuphase DP-700 sell for over in Japan?
