Regards, Cyril. Well it's all outlined on my contact info. SA7S1, VPI/Triplanar/AT sources, triamped Maggie 3.6s and Kinergetic 800 Tower subs w/ PassLabs XVR-1-3way. It works. Need a new sub amp but still playing around with the internal passive XO for the tweeter/mids. Really love the Ref 40 especially the holographic centered image of a solo singer and the sound stage compared with SS.

I may have to use fixed output on b111 and use ref40 as a preamp. This will cascading output stage though.
I can afford to keep ref40 k klao, but have to do long saving..to compensate.

And from now on, i will start the intense training course which will preclude me from this hobby till next March..sigh...
From the seminar I attended today, i knew it that by the time Burmester 111 arrived, I may not have time and mood
To do anything with it for months.

First of all Toga, good luck with all your training and exams. I believe if you run the fixed output on the B111 it will totally bypass the volume control. I do not think Burmester will allow sound to degrade because you want another preamp. In all the pictures I see of the B111 at shows, they always seem to use an 077 or other preamp with the unit. If that is just for show, I do not know but it is interesting.

Joeinid, thAnKS.

Yes vol control of B111 can be bypassed, but seem like gain stage is always there.
So Burmester's X-amp2 gain stage may be be cascading with ARC's tube output stage

Thanks Toga,

Will that work for you? I think multiple volume controls or gain stages may be no good.
