Yes they do fall in my "early days". Sorry, I just don't remember them. Wish I did because I am fairly certain that I would have liked them. Unfortunately no one gets exposed to everything.

It certainly is possible that they may have came up at one point or another, but I just don't recall (getting old and all). Quite certain I never had the opportunity to listen to them ....

Just curious John, do you know if they were imported into the US back then?

Randy... Not sure when Monitor Audio started to be distributed in the US, as it took a few years to get the UK and Europe stable I believe. I bought mine after A/B testing with Spendor BC3 speakers at a central London dealers.

Well too bad that I didn't get a chance to listen to them. I wish I still had my KEFs from that time frame. I had the 104aB.... Absolutely loved them!

Dam these KEFs are so transparent. What a sound stage... they just sort of disappear... very impressed so far...

I brought up the Limited Edition finishes much earlier, and Randy wasn't interested in them preferring the standard version.

Yes Audio Bill is right, I prefer the 50 anniversary finish versus the three new colors. I believe it looks classier with my McIntosh. I can't even imagine the red ones sitting next to the Mc .... (the blue drivers might have been a nice match, but they look like darker blue than Mc uses, so the gold probably fit better).

Come on guys... get up there and slap your Yes vote ....

Honestly, I have received some e-mails from other members who express that they are very surprised why any member would be opposed to a KEF forum and why anyone would vote against it. It is not like it would affect any non-interested person in any way. However I had to go out and research elsewhere when I was considering buying a pair. I would have loved to have a specific section where I could have gotten information on KEF from AA members. I believe I get some of the best and most qualified information here in AA when I am looking for learned opinions!

So Mr. Ivan... I think we have made a pretty decent case for a KEF forum, don't you?

Randy.......No offense intended but a total of 22 votes in your pole, with only 17 of those wanting to see a KEF forum, doesn't exactly represent a "decent case" as you put it, especially when one considers Audio Aficionado has 162,700+ members with 5,600+ members online right this moment. The poll numbers don't reflect any serious interest in the brand.

KEF is a quality speaker manufacturer and it seems there is a faint interest. None the less, as a privately owned audio forum, decisions about Audio Aficionado content are not made by a majority consensus. Even if your poll numbers were huge, which is clearly not the case, decisions on forum content are made by the website owner. Your enthusiasm and posting frenzy aside, it does not appear there is enough interest in KEF speakers to create another forum, in my opinion. Perhaps at a future date it may come to be but right now the idea seems dead in the water to me.

As I said, if I am wrong I am wrong... considering some of the other manufactures that have their own forums many of which would not be considered on par with KEF in legendary reputation and longevity... anyway, won't mention it again... sorry....
