When I updated my P10, it only took a few minutes. Best to work directly with PSAudio from here.

Stopped download and restarted as per PS Audio. They said it should only take 10 mins. Stopped second session after 25 mins. Going back to PS Audio tomorrow.

...and they told me it they would cover under warranty since it had so few hours on the unit. Thank you Jeremy and David, at PS Audio.

Kevin.......Other than the hassle of shipping the P5, it will come back good as new.

I agree Dan, just a bit perplexed at early death of the unit, like my Olive 4HD (Olive refused to repair but offered $100 off of their ONE model - hope you go to audio #ell Olive). Shipping to and from will total about $140. In the meantime I only have an APC Surge/Backup UPS to use as a home base for my C2300, MCD500, Manley Chinook SE.

Kevin.......I would not be surprised if PS Audio paid for the return shipping since they are honoring your P5 as a warranty repair. You pay to get it there and they pay to return it. It shouldn't be that bad.

Stuff breaks. Nothing made by the hand of man is truly fail safe. You'll be back up and running in no time.

Dan
I have sure had a bad streak of luck lately with my electronics - maybe my house needs exorcising or I just need to be happy with a boom box.

Kevin.......I know how it goes. I have had a few streaks like that, too. Fortunately, once they are in the rear view mirror they don't seem so important. What age and experience has taught me is patience is a virtue. All things pass, the sun will rise again tomorrow, and getting spun in a knot over stuff that is out of our control is a complete waste of time and energy. Breathe in, breathe out, relax. Despite our best efforts, shit happens. It's how we deal with it that makes the difference.
