I've read several bad reviews about the last few years of Maserati. It's hard to spend that much on a car that spends a week a month in the shop

Suddenly the forum where we spend thousands on a 1 foot piece of speaker wire has become a hotbed of pragmatism?

If my wife only knew how much an 8 shelf HRS rack cost.....

I don't have to send my speaker wire back to Ivan once a month because it stopped working.

I hear your comments about wife not wanting to spend 90k and also having 3 Porsche engines in the garage with no Porsche dealer in the state. A couple of thoughts--

1. When someone has 3 Mc components, not having a Mc service center in state generally does not keep him from adding a 4th. It would, however, be helpful to find a good Porsche mechanic not too far away-- for maintenance and "just in case."

2. I drive a Macan S. A couple of cars before that a Cayanne S. When my Macan was in for maintenance a couple of months ago, they gave me for a loaner, a Cayanne plug-in hybrid. What a magnificent vehicle that was. It was bigger and more comfortable than I remember my Cayanne S was. It handled great and the engine performance (and sound) was like a Porsche, not a Prius on steroids. My suggestion Lis you handle this like most of us on AA would handle an equipment purchase. Have it be waiting for her in your driveway when she wakes up and before she's had her first coffee and is still a little groggy, bring her outside, show it to her, tell about the great deal you got from the dealer who just had to get rid of it and you just couldn't resist the $40,000 price-- and hand her the keys and ask if she's like to listen to it... I mean give it a drive.

You might need to add that it was an open box special, I mean a dealer's demo, to get her to buy the story (ok, not to buy it, just to not call you on it).

"show it to her, tell about the great deal you got from the dealer who just had to get rid of it and you just couldn't resist the $40,000 price-- "
*****
Over the past 1-2 years, her Cayenne S has had more service issues requiring loaners. Since the dealer that she likes is ~250 miles away, she has had the opportunity to drive a significant amount of miles in Hybrid SEs, Cayenne, Cayenne S. She like the Hybrid, especially the lime green brakes; the Cayenne is a non-starter.

The Hybrids don't sell, her dealer has 5 2016s on the lot, for ~$20k off MRSP. I think that she has decided on a 2015 or 16 Cayenne S or possibly a Hybrid. She still likes the high-end Jeep Cherokee but started getting cold feet after reading mixed reviews about reliability.
