Just picked up a pair of 2B-LP amps and a BP25 preamp. My intro to the 'high-end' back in the early '80s was a pair of 2B-LP amps running bridged, pushing a pair of Mission Argonaut 4-ohm speakers, specifically something Bryston cautioned against. Used with a McCormack Line-Drive for ten years without a hiccup and then added a BP25. Not just terrific sound, but faultless performance for all those years. When I was head-banging the amps would be too hot to touch, but never shutdown. Should have everything set up and singing sweetly by weeks end. This time I'll be kinder to the amps with my 8-ohm speakers.

Well........ the second 2B-LP did not materialize. But, a B-60R integrated amp did. As did did a set of PMC TB2i speakers (thanks, Jeff ) and a set of Kimber Silver Streak custom ICs for bi-amping with the Brystons. Should have all by early next week.

There's something about the way things used to be back in the day when we didn't care about things like resolution, sound stage, or the endless search for the perfect system. All that mattered was the music. Kicking back with a few friends and enjoying life while listening to some tunes.

Yes........ great sound is always fun. Making it better is even more fun.

Installed the new set of Kimber Silver Streak pre-out/power-in/bi-amp jumpers. With zero break-in time they added a new level of smoothness, detail and clarity.

TB2i speakers are due on Wednesday. Gets better all the time. My sympathy to those who do not or cannot hear the differences between cables. Another link in the chain.
