I don't either. If there is any improvement, it's very subtle. I would recommend people stick with their kt120s until you need to change the tubes out, then buy KT150's to replace them. It's just not worth it unless you need to buy tubes anyway.

I will probably not bother w/ the KT150s until ARC will have a kit to safely put them into the REF75 like resistors, etc...
I'm just have w/ the KT120s as is.. |

I don't think it's going to be a kit, because the units already work well with the new tubes. I think they'll just make you buy the tubes from them. We'll see.

are the kt120s good for 2,000 hours ? in truth that is quite a lot of hours so a good 2-3 years before replacement. |

It's a bit disappointing to hear that there is not much improvement over the KT120. I suppose the KT 150 has longer life than KT120, but cost almost twice as well. So it sounds like there isn't a whole lot to be gained by switching to KT150.

Could someone send link to KT120 and KT150 spesifications? I had no luck finding reference for life time expectancy on data sheets, unlike some NOS or MIL specs.
Many new production tubes seem low quality manufacturing without published life time. Guess they are more interested to make some buck than long life tubes.. |

Hmmmm, New Guy, whilst comment from the intrepid adopter is still a little thin on the ground, It would seem that the majority have pronounced a noted improvment over the KT120, with only a couple of respondents viz, Marc and verapennini, erring on the marginal improvment at best end of the spectrum.

I too think the improvement is not a sea change. Maybe a touch more than marginal. If my KT 120s were at the end of their useful life, I would definitely move up to the KT150s. I think it's about like the move from 6550s to KT 120s. I wouldn't recommend what I did--put aside KT120s with only 400 hours to move up to KT 150s.
