Matt

You should host an evening sometime. Be nice for everyone to meet.

Everyone brings their favorite album and a bottle of wine!

Yep, I'm thinking of having another Greenhaus get together soon.. Though, perhaps just one evening instead of two.

Yes. My friend uses an EAR MC4 with his Koetsu and Monbrison, and I have a Bob,s Cinemag 1131 Blue I use with my Shilabe. Both of them are much better into the Shindo(s) than the using the internal SUT.

Yep, this is because the internal step up is not ideal for the impedance characteristics of those cartridges.

Shindo give you the 'MM' input, not necessarily for MM carts, but to allow the user the ability to bypass the internal step up, so that your hifi can be optimized for the cartridge in use with an outboard step up.

Enjoy,

Howdy all,

is there a list of Cartridges (or specs) that the internal Shindo SUT likes to work with? I'm running a Masseto at the moment - and loving it with a Wood body Denon 103 (though I suspect that match is not optimal).

Thankyou and good listening.

Jerome and many other here are aware of that.

I was only jabbing Jerome regarding his comment "No serious music lover can say seriously that he does not like Shindo. Impossible." There are no absolutes in this hobby as both he and I have discussed many times.

If you re-read the first part of my post I state' "I can appreciate it. I might enjoy it"...... That is exactly how I feel about tube systems. I listen to other peoples tube based systems and appreciate the overall sound and I can enjoy listening for a couple of hours. Then I prefer to go back and listen to something else.

Ah, ok. Understood. Context.
Was just trying to bridge what I thought were controversial positions!
