XR27 vs. XCS1K?
Looking for comments comparing these two center channel speakers I am considering, which are both rated at 1200 watts. I will be powering them with a mac MC1.2kw amp. Thank you...Mark

Hi Mark, They are voiced slightly differently so it depends on your front speakers. The XCS1k is 8 ohms and matches well with the XRT1k's. The XR27 is 4 ohms and matches well with the XRT28's, XRT30's and some others of Mac speakers. I have had both setups and found both to be quite good. One additional thought, the XRT1k series is greatly helped by a JL Subwoofer. The XRT30 series woofers do a nice job when the woofers are run direct from a separate amp and sub crossover. I found that I preferred the Mac subs on the later rather than the JL's.
