Default Interesting Channel: Closer to Truth

Just found this YouTube channel today and have found it quite interesting: Closer to Truth.

If you are interested in the origins and nature of Cosomology, Consciousness, Philosophy, and Physics, etc., check it out.

Serge, these might be right up your alley...

Here's some links to a couple videos:

The conventional Neuro-scientific approach, the idea that we can describe consciousness as a "biological" process (complex as it may be) has never sat right with me.

I am not a scientist but based on my own intuition, a quantum computer, our brain (it is after all a biological structure but which still functions on electrical impulses and is still fundamentally built of the same atoms and subatomic particles that exhibit behavior that can only be described as "magic") can never be fully explained in biological terms only. They have tried many times...

I do believe that consciousness goes beyond the physical world. It just doesn't make sense that our brains which are made up of the same atoms as the rest of the universe would not play a role in whole "united" way in the bizarre and mysterious world of quantum particles.

I like the duality approach, the consciousness interacting with the fundamental laws of physics to create reality and our experiences. Experiences are indeed all we have. It is "this" moment, "this" experience that defines the reality of the conscious mind at any given segment of our perceived timeline and for each individual.

I think Elon Musk working on a neural-link, to integrate our brains with the internet is clearly a concept that underlines his believes that there is more to our brains than just biology.

In my personal intuition, in fact something that many of our ancestors believed in for many centuries, (Buddhism, Kabbalah just as an example) is the consciousness is somewhere else, external to our biological bodies. Take ‘panpsychism’ — the belief that consciousness is everywhere” as an example.

So the only logical theory that makes sense to me is that the whole universe is conscious. We are all a part of collective "experience" a manifestation of one BIG consciousness in which we all play a role within the boundaries of physics that exist and in the dimension we occupy, along with the jellyfish, the starfish and other creatures that do not even have a brain but get along in life just fine!

As I paused to wrap this up, I sat on my deck and enjoyed some cheese and grapes only to come to the realization that everything I saw, touched, smelled and tasted, was nothing more than electrical impulses from the various receptors. A collective experience based on nothing more than the weird atoms full of mysterious quarks and electrons telling my brain to create an illusion of a reality for me. That's all there is really.

Somewhere or perhaps everywhere around us, is a big information cloud from which we source all the information and memories that are stored in it. The subconscious pulls the information needed and the consciousnesses manifests reality.

If someone wants to prove me wrong, that this does not resemble a virtual reality simulation of magnificent proportions, go right ahead, I am listening. Keep in mind that some leading neuro-scientists may just agree with Buddhists! https://www.lionsroar.com/christof-k...l-nature-mind/

Another thought. We cannot explain the "quantum entanglement", something Einstein called "spooky action at a distance". I mean there is no explanation as to the mechanism of how a particle that is split in two, remains one whole in terms of its actions although they are now two entities separated by vast distances and the "reaction" is instant (does information travel faster than the speed of light?). We can't seem to explain it but we are building quantum computers and they are working on this concept.

What if an atom IS conscious? Would explain the wave function collapse due to observation.... What if all the atoms collectively are one BIG consciousness? I believe it is all connected and we are part of the BIG consciousness.
