From one Leben Integrated Owner to one POTENTIAL owner, you can soup it up by changing components. I did it simply because I have the difference in cost ... so, might as well spend it all and hopefully get one super doper integrated 15 watter per what I have read.

Know what? It did mutate into one and I am happy. Next to come ... RS30EQ and that makes a pair!

Cheers!

FYI

The designer of Leben also used to be the tube designer of Luxman. You may see the resemblance now that Lux have brought back the old fashioned tube gear.

I have always wondered and have always forgotten to ask Matt if the Line Level on the Apetite is active or a passive line stage. What would be lovely to see is a Cortesse with a Aurigeges MM for the input integrated. Three inputs Phono and Tuner and Aux. Now that I would buy. Say $13950.00 Sign me up

Apetite has a full preamp section. Shindo does not build custom amps. The time, effort and cost to design an amplifier makes this impossible.

I see Leben has integrateds but did not notice them for Shindo.

I am not sure where this will lead, but it's fun looking.
I had a listen to the Leben CS300X back in 2006 (so take it for what it is) but I liked it quite a bit. Compared to Shindo, though, I much preferred the tonality of Shindo gear (especially a Monbrison/Cortese combo I fell in love with). At the time, my budget limited me to an Aurieges coupled with a 10 year old SS ML amp, but it gave me pretty good sound and a toe hold into Shindo gear.
