Default Ref 5 Pass-through

Hi,

I having difficulties finding this out, does the Ref5 preamp has a HT Pass Through like my C2300 has?/

yes..it has an input that takes the volume control out and basically passes the signal from the HT processor through to your L/R amps

Just one final question, does the preamp needs to be on for this input to work??

yes...the dedicated passthrough input basically put the preamplifier at unity gain...so no attenuation or gain added by the preamp...but the preamp must be on...this is similar to the pass through mode of my Ayre KX-R.

A very nice feature of the REF5 and Anniversary preamplifiers is that when you select the passthrough input (PROC) it immediately goes in mute, avoiding the possible loud shout if you press it occasionally by mistake. You have to confirm switching the MUTE off to make it operational.
