I had a card with an RFID. I just punched out the chip. The magnetic strip still works so the card can still be swiped.

Gary.......I guess a heavy duty hole punch could take care of that pesky RFID chip. I like it.

I had almost a grand charged to my card the other day to Blizzard and other online games. I wonder if that's how they got it!

Traditional cards, with only the magnetic strip, are, by far, the riskiest, and least safe of all.
RFID requires physical presence, to be at least in the vicinity of a reader.
It's strange that US banks are skipping the widely used "chip and PIN" method, used all over the world, and going straight for RFID...

I agreed. The way the US handles credit card transactions with the magnetic strip and signature is way behind.

At least we are slowly getting to the point where the card no longer leaves your hands for many of out transactions. Still you give it up here in most restaurants, not that way in most of the rest of the world.
