Leaving in 5 hours Georges.

Take a business class seat on Cathay. Money well spent. You won't regret it.

Have a safe trip back.

I need to check my budget but I'm more and more tempted by the business class.

I'll just live on dim sum and pad thai there

Speaking of which, what are the must-eat dishes ?

Thanks Georges.
I am not a fan of chinese cuisine. Too boiled dishes for me. I loved cambodian cuisine while I was there and I like a lot Thai food also.
Moreover I do not eat non kosher meat and sea food so I am really not of good advice here.

Frankly, any Thai food is good food in my book. My favorites are Tom Yum Goong soup and a green chicken curry...

When in Singapore, you should try any one of the hawker centers. It is the best 'street' food you can get. Cheap and wonderful - Malay\Indian\Chinese inspired food.

I am jealous just thinking about your trip! Good luck.

In France, what we call Chinese is really Thai or Vietnam cuisine. The Chinese dishes I had in Seoul were far away from what I usually eat here.

I love eating and I try to eat local dish when I'm travelling.

As for the travel plan, I took your suggestions and dropped Vietnam from the list. So it's Singapore -> Angkor -> Bangkok -> (other place in Thailand?) -> Singapore.

Maybe I can add a beach in Thailand if there is not much to see in Bangkok.

As suggested in a previous post, you should really consider Phuket when in Thailand. It is only 1 hour trip by plane from Bangkok. When I was there, I travelled with Bangkok airways. It is a good option for short trip. Service was good if I recall and it was cheap. When in Phuket, you have to see Phi Phi islands. In Phuket, I was in Patong Beach which is nice but a bit on the wild side haha. From Patong to Phi Phi islands, I suggest you go by speed boat. It takes about 1 hour and it is really fun. Going back to Phucket, I would spend all my time in Phi Phi islands as there are very nice resorts there. And beaches are wonderful. It is more quiet there than Patong. It is best if your intention is to have a rest and have a slow pace.

Looks like a great place.

I've heard mixed things about Ko Samui. Is Phi Phi islands better ?

I'm more in the mood for relax and quiet
