Jim.......This sounds like a very interesting trip, particularly the Da Nang and Hanoi stops, since they are not your usual high profile tourist destinations. Singapore is a modern city, and hopefully you will have the opportunity to connect with Jerry for a visit while there. It's been a long time since I have been in Hong Kong and Kowloon. The population density there is almost overwhelming, but Hong Kong is a very interesting city. Sounds like a great trip to me.

Dan
Singapore is a fun city and I am several friends who live there. It has been a couple of years since Jerry and I have been able to get together. I will try and meet him at least for a quick hello. Not sure if I will be able to get away for our Hi Fi tours.

I think that I will see if I can book an excursion to Hue rather than hang around Da Nang that day in port.

I only made one quick trip to Hanoi for business so I don;t know how much tourist stuff there will be to see.

I am sure Linda will fill her days with shopping in Hong Kong.

Jim

Our first vacation of the year (moving into new home was not a vacation) since Maria's accident last October will be to Cabo san Lucas, MX - leavin on her B-day this Saturday. Relatively close yet worlds away. One week of total pampering.

I've been to Germany(08), Turkey(10), Jamaica(08), Aruba(12) and Australia(09). Had the most fun in Aruba though it was fairly expensive. Australia was rediculously overpriced. A .50c can of coke for $3.50??? McD's cost us $40 for 2, lol.

I'll put out an open invitation to people of this forum. If you want to do some technical canyoneering in Zion National Park between the months of late Jun to mid Sep of 2013 let me know. It is easier for out of towners to stay there, you can rent gear, stay at a motel, take some courses, etc. PM me for more details, schedule, sign-up. You will see places most people never dreamed about.

We're in Cancun for the week staying at the Westin Lagunamar and it is just great. The ocean is around 80 degrees and that beautiful blue color that changes with the water depth from torquois to deep blue. The pools are heated to a nice 80 degrees also and the hot tubs will soak away any pains that you have. Last night after dinner we wandered over to one of the two firepits and joined about nine other couples in stories and much drink as the waitress from the nearby sports bar kept us hydrated. This is what vacation should be like.

Sounds much more inviting than at home...sunny on the PA/DE border, but a bit nippy @ 36 degrees F, right now! Have a great time!

Yeah I've been keeping track of the temps at home. Early part of the week was in the 60s and then it dropped. We'll be back Sunday evening. I was just getting used to shorts and sandels again.

Sounds like something a 63 year old retired guy should not be looking into and it doesn't sound like a spectator sport. Enjoy
