This effect is called Color Reversal. Most photo editing software has this option. It can often provide some very interesting images.

My bank statement has a similar color reversal option, which tends to self-elect when I view this forum. In true Holiday Spirit, it goes from green to red. I wouldn't know anything about it.

I still love my MC275. It is a little lonely being by itself, maybe someday it will get a partner and go mono.

I am still playing around with the tubes. Actually I tried the Penta and Gold Lion KT88 and I ended up back with the McIntosh stock.

I also put in some Tungsol 12AX7's and Mullard 12at7's.

Chuck.......The MC275 is a tube roller's delight. You don't even have to remove any covers, just shut it off, let it cool a bit, swap tubes, and you're back in business. The MC275 is a great amplifier.

The McIntosh stock tubes that you are using, do they have the round holes or the square holes on the plates?

I wonder if the 275 can handle the KT120 tubes.
