Default Crossroads

I have watched the great two disc DVD concert Eric Clapton - Crossroads four or five times, but today was the first time with the new MX120/MC352/Active JBL setup. Today I felt like I was at the concert. Between the spectacular picture on the new Sony 52XBR9 widescreen, and the MX120 with associated gear and speakers, the concert was a moving event for me. I glanced at the power meters on the MC352 and saw the meter needles bounce occasionally on 300 watts. The 5.1 system in the room was rocking, clean as a whistle, and thoroughly involving. When the concert was over I stepped outside into the Florida sunshine, and found myself feeling as though I had just left a live event. I should have found a Crossroads ticket stub in my pocket. It was great. I'm sure happy I made the upgrades to the theater. Big difference.

Even thought I don't have a tv, the CROSSROADS video is one of the best that I have ever seen.

It was playing at a dealer one day, and I couldn't stop watching it.

Excellent stuff.

I would love to hear it on a system like yours!!!

Dan I'm glad you enjoyed the concert. I to have a lot DVD's and
enjoy the home theater experience. But the one thing that made it
all ring true for me, was when my wife bought us 2 tickets to see
Steely Dan at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, FL. The concert was great
the vibes where great, The tickets where $200 each (I never complain
about the cost of admission). But in the middle of the concert my
said to me I don't know what you spent for that system: but it was
worth it. I'm surprised that more the members don't seem to be as
excited about home theater as would have thought. Cross Roads the
concert is on of the best. The second concert fall a little short

Herman.......When the wife tells you she's happy you own McIntosh, that is PRICELESS.

Listening to live music, whether it is rock, country, jazz or orchestral, is one of the ways we are able to carry the memory of the sound, the dynamics, and clarity home with us, enabling us to hear how wonderfully close our systems get to a real performance. Without hearing live music, you have no reference point by which to judge reproduced music.

Dan, that sounds like an "in" for an MC275/theater swap.

Terry.......You just may be on to something here. I hadn't thought about it like that.

Stephen.......When you stop by to drop off the MC275, we'll sit down in the thearter and blast Eric Clapton - Crossroads. You'll love it. Bring the PMC TB2i's with you, too, and we'll do a shoot out between them and the Cremona Auditors while you're here.

I saw the Crossroads concert while at a dealer a few years ago and ordered a copy a and had it delivered to my brother. Made him pretty happy too. It is always good to pass the good ones around.
