Default Sony tape recorder TCD5M needs help...

Dear friends,

So I own a TCD5M where the FF function doesnot work properly.at a very low speed and stop after 5second

When I press the RW function ,the speed looks normal but stop after 5second as well

I have the service schematic as well and have checked the belt status ...(Ok)

To operate the control I have replaced the battery 3v by a lab's power supply allowing to adjust accurately the DC voltage as well as the measurment of the current consumption, the current is more looks more significant in FF position

The FW (tape) is ok as well as the right speed with no variation

My question is to know if the problem is "electrical" or "mechanical"

Should you have any feedback experience, please let me know..

I look forward to hearing from you soon...

Thanks!

Raymond
