That was a joke.

As for the mint used ones, they are of that period and are in great condition (from the looks). Asking for S$10 per pair. Still thinking. Many viewers, but so far, no commitment - yet!

Indeed, a pair of 20+ years speakers still sounded (and looked nice) is incredible and showcase the amount of engineering that went in.

I never had a chance to hear the original Extremas, but hear many of that vintage and liked them a lot...nearly bought them. I owned SF Guarneris and Strads years later...also great. Would love to hear old or new Extremas someday.

I own a pair of the original Extremas and love the way they sound. They are cable and amp picky though. I found what I think is a good pairing with Concert Fidelity amps and MIT Oracle 1.3 bi-wire cables.

The only fault with the speakers are the awful binding posts that are spaced to closely together to use with the robust spades the Oracle's come with. I suspect no one has heard these at their best given the limitations of the connection.
