I watched the video clip on the PS Audio website regarding the Duet. It's very compelling. I don't see a power cord in any of the Duet imagery.

Do they provide a power cord w/ the Duet?
If not, what have some of you been purchasing for your Duet(s)?

We include a 6ft power cable with the Duet. Of course the performance of the Duet and any other connected devices will improve with an upgraded cable. My personal favorite from a cost/benefit point is the Perfect Wave AC-10.

Does the Duet have some type of light indicator to let you know when a new cartridge is needed?

I am assuming that the surge & spike protection cartridge is degraded over time [from a string of hits].

And, what is the cost for a replacement cartridge?

The Power Cartridge has a power indicator light, which also indicates issues with the line by how fast the light flashes. If the Power Cartridge becomes compromised it will stop passing power to the unit regardless of the light status. Luckily we cover the replacement of the Power Cartridge under our 3 year warranty at absolutely no charge to the customer.

Yes, mine just showed up as I started to write this note. The FedEx driver told me they always deliver to the "Master" first and then to the "little people". I think you have a few more things to install this weekend than I do. I would be glad to drive across the Alley if you need some help.

How do you like your Duets Howard?

They are rock-solid construction and give me total piece of mind for protecting my system. I am unable to easily A/B them (2) with and without the PPP's in the system but, knowing intimately the sound I have been listening to, the Duets are a nice complement to the enhancements I have been experiencing. PS Audio told me that the pushbutton circuit breaker would protect the unit from almost all surges except a direct hit which could burn the microprocessor. If such and unlikely event occurred, a simple call to them would get a replacement shipped out immediately which simply plugs into the body of the Duet. This means almost total protection for my PPP's and the Macs plugged into them. They are a real bargain and with PS Audio's support, they should be a first priority on anyone's list. No one should compromise on the protection of the equipment we all have. I think Ivan has several of them available and what could be easier than giving him a call.
