Amazon Music Ultra HD
Is anyone using Amazon Music Unlimited? I’m on day two of a 90 day trial.
I am using my SurfacePro w/Win10 running the Amazon Music app. When I play an Ultra HD recording the max rate I get is 48 kHz, even if the input stream says it is 96 or 192 kHz. Even when I check exclusive mode and the Yggy’s Unison driver specifically I get a max of 48 kHz. Anyone know what gives?

Amazon Music Ultra HD
The Amazon app is showing a 24/192 or 24/96 source and my tablet as only 24/48 capable when I know it runs 24/192 from JRiver. I think the way this sounds it must be running through the windows mixer which runs at 48 kHz.
Grrrr.

Problem solved.
Deep in the Win10 audio properties setting there is an ‘advanced’ tab that sets the output bit depth and resolution for shared devices. Since the AMHD app always comes up in shared mode it apparently took that setting as the max device performance. I set it to 32/192 and now I get the correct bit rates when in exclusive mode with the Amazon app. So far it is working way better than Tidal in terms of drop outs on our slow boat internet.
