Speakers to pair with Luxman L-590AX
Having just purchased a new Accuphase amp for my B&W 803D3s, I was considering selling my Luxman. Since I really like it, I'm considering building another system. It will be used in an office or maybe master bedroom.
I want to try something other than B&W. I will not be listening to very loud music and I wanted to get a smaller sized monitor speaker. So far I have listened to Penaudio, Aerial 5T and Spendor. I'm not in a huge hurry so I wanted to ask those who are familiar with the Luxman, which other brands I should be listening to. Max budget is $4,000. Thanks.

Well the easy and obvious recommendation is the KEF LS50s. Same British heritage as the B&W although I always have found KEF to be a tad more reserved and refined if you will. I couple mine with a tiny REL Tzero sub, although they perform fantastic on their own.
Many AA members own these fabulous little speakers and can comment on them. BTW- they would also save you a bit of $... oh and for what it is worth KEF has these as one of three models in their Flagship series. BTW here is a thread (only a couple down from this one)... I listened to a whole bunch of speakers (including the recommended ones). Nothing came close to the Aerial 5T yet.
Still on the quest - after all, it's more than half the fun!

I'm listening to a couple of different Harbeth speakers in my home at the moment and I like them a good bit. However I hear amazing things about the MiniT from Bryston and Ivan can hook you up with a pair. Even KEF LS50 could fit the bill.
