I'll post up a picture soon showing the options on my VAC preamp. There is even an extra SE - BAL switch.

It almost seems like this VAC equipment is like getting a custom built motorcycle. Every piece is unique.

Question for the VAC owners, what cart loading settings are you using?

Dunno what I'll use yet -- the Renaissance SE phono stage I heard with a Transrotor Tourbillon turntable, SME arm and a Koetsu Urushi Tsugaru cartridge was set at 100 I believe.

The VAC Signature MKIIa w/phono I had a few years back with a Sumiko Palo Santos Presentation was 100 - maybe 200, IIRC.

It's something to play with -- and dependent.

Best Sir,

Bob

And, if into tubes, the Cary PH-302 is an excellent phono preamp with a built-in SUT that I really enjoy listening to. If were my $10K I would get something like the Lyra Kleos cartridge ($3700) and spend the balance on a phono preamp like the Cary and an ultra-sonic record cleaning machine. For vinyl listening, nothing beats a clean LP.

[emoji1319] Excellent advise.

Depends on the cart. Koetsu Coralstone (5 ohms) through a Bob's Devices Sky 40 ends up being at 29 ohms into the 47K MM input. Shelter Harmony (15 ohms) into the VAC's MC SUT ends up being at 118 ohms.

I have been using the AudioNet PAM G2 for over a year. First stock and now with added outboard EPS G2 power supply. Excellent phonostage
Audionet PAM G2 + EPC sounds same than Audionet PAM G2 + EPS G2?

How big is the difference between Audionet PAM G2 + EPX and Audionet PAM G2 + EPS G2?
