Smile Yippie...MXA60 in the house

Hehe...it's finally here.

Just for fun we hooked it up to the Proac Response D100's first. It certainly holds its own...it had no problem driving the 4 Ohm monoliths.

If the MXA60 would be my only source for playing music I could happily live with it everafter...however the difference with the master setup is big...and that is a good thing...if you understand what I mean.

Actually I like it more playing through its beautiful piano black speakers...first impression..."where is the music coming from ?".

This little beauty just projects sound into the middle of the room.

Only minor quibble though...the power on button that doubles as a volume control is not mounted as solid as I would prefer.

Very nice addition to your home. There are times when you do not feel like firing up the main system. When you indicated that you liked the speakers that came with it, how did you have them set up? Like in the pics or spread out a few feet?

Jacques.......Looking very good. I enjoy seeing the photos of your main system, too. Hope the MXA60 gives you many years of listening pleasure.

This photo was my favorite, showing your desk with Audio Aficionado on the screen, and the picture hanging on the wall that is your avatar. It reminds me once again that being close is not a matter of miles, but a matter of the mind. You sit right there and share your experiences with us, as we sit in our rooms and share our experiences with you. It is a wonderful thing.

THX for the nice comments

As I'm listening to Peter Gabriel's latest offering "scratch my back" on the Denon D7000 cans...I must say the Headphone amp of the MXA60 is really, really, really good...haven't done a straight A/B with the C1000...but dare I say it...first impression is it sounds better...new tech ???
