Beatle, I'd bet it is something simple and you'll have soon.

My amp arrived today and it sounds very good and will improve with some more hours. Dennis is certainly a master of the craft. I have no doubt that every amp he produces is special in its own way.

Bear, I have read that the Psvane tubes take a long time to settle in. I found that to be true with their small signal tubes...so don't give up. Did you get the black or grey glass?

Mine are the grey glass. You might know that if you hold them up to the light you can see through the grey. My amp sits in front of a window so from across the room the inner's have a ghostly appearance. Thanks for the advice. I will make sure and roll them back in soon.

FloridaBoy,

Great to hear you've got your amp! It sure looks pretty in the pic you posted a few pages back. What speakers are you using with it?

Where at in Fl are you? I have a vacation place in Sarasota.

All the Inspire amps look good. I'm driving Klipsch Heresy III's. They seem a good match. I'm in Ft. Myers.

There is a lot of Voo Doo in audio. Burn in is one. I believe it is real and the Psvane tubes need a lot of time. Perhaps more so in the Inspire amps because the tubes are not run very hard. I have not used the Psvane power tubes but have read posts from real world users that the grey glass are better that the black glass Treasure series.

Greetings to all from sunny Singapore.

I purchased the EL-34 IFA-1 in copper powder coat/clear coat. It's a very beautiful amp. If you go to the completed on e**y site, mine is the one dated June 12. Currently I am using JJ EL-34, and the rest are stock from Dennis. I have several tubes lining up for rolling, such as winged "C" EL-34, EH 6CA7 as well as 6CG7, Amperex 6AQ8. My speaker is a humble Monitor Audio Bronze 2. May need to upgrade the speaker down the road. Currently I am happy with the setup in my office.

Looking forward to many years of great music. Have a blessed day to all

Well great news from Dennis. He called to tell me that it was an electrolytic capacitor that was wide open. The last one he had do this was about 6 years ago in a a preamp. All fixed and Dennis is going to run it tonite and ship it out tomorrow .

We had a great conversation about high efficiency speakers as well. He's a real pleasant fellow to speak with.

Thanks for everyone's input and encouragement!

Tim

FloridaBoy,

Tell me more about the Heresy III with your Inspire amp. What are the strong points and weak points (if any) of the presentation? How far are the Heresy's apart and from you?

Thanks,

Tim
