My "E" just moved a little and picked up a few NEW Pass friends (XP-30). The "E" is an unselfish little guy but the Pass guys know that HE is what makes them sound their very best.

The "E" runs cool as a cucumber and the only fan is in the NAS which is 100' away, connected with CAT-6. It also runs cool and the fan is about 1' from my computer but I never hear it.

I still think this one of the most beautiful rooms on AA!

The Media Server by -E- blends right in, and looks exactly as if it belongs. Because it does!,

Well done!

Discrete Signal Server - 1,0's are discrete or whole integers AND discrete is silent or quiet.

Or

Discrete Sound Server

or

Discrete Sound System

DSS

* I do like BAM!

I vote for ......

eMS
Emile Media Server

It's a cool name (Emile) and most, certainly me, wouldn't even realize it was the designers first name
To me, it sounds like a really cool name

The 3 initials evoke another digital giant in my mind, dCS.
That can't be a bad thing.

IMO, no need to play up the silent aspect.
