Simple and rather silly question.
After about 30 mins of trying, I still cannot get all four spikes to balance evenly on the floor; unlike the castors that can rest solidly on the floor. Anyone has any luck doing this properly? |

Good question. Use a leveler and park it on the plinth then adjust. Try getting 3 spikes to be just right and then work on the 4th

Since you have McIntosh electronics, try their MEN220 (mcintoshlabs.com). They use the excellent algorithms originally developed by TactAudio for Lyngdorf. Unfortunately MEN220 only provides analog I/O. An alternative would be the French Trinnov ST2 HiFi or ST2 Pro (trinnov.com). Both have analog and digital I/O and probably the most sophisticated algorithms. In my Accuphase reference system I use their DG-58. Martin |

Maybe just bring home a couple of sugar packets the next time you're dining out?

I did consider that before. When I was winding out the spikes, I was thinking what will happen if I over winded it and the whole screw fell out. Haha. That wouldn't be fun. It would be easy on the cm9 but not on this one. So tiring to climb up and down to see if it rocks. Perhaps it is because I didn't screw the lock nut back up? Speakers with outriggers will be much easier. |
