This is one of his showroom and is situated in a local hotel premises.

Cheers!
Ah, small world. Sounds like a nice place to visit and listen to gear.

Each speaker is 425 lb and shipping weight of the pair of Maxx 3s is 1190 lb. My dealer's delivery guys are going to love this one.

I have not seen the Polaris in person yet and I think I underestimated it a bit... Stereophile: Wilson's Polaris Center-Channel

Congrats, Serge, it seems easy now that it's done, but I was sure you would end on theses Maxx3; yesterday night, on the Wilson poll thread, I told you it would be my next speaker and you immediately answered that it was a fantastic speaker; I was convinced you were in the process owning one. I think you made the best choice possible. I'm very happy for you and I can feel your excitement from here overseas.
If we have a chance to meet in August...I would be very happy too.

Good luck, the best is yet to come, isn't it?

Serge

I suggest you dont pack up the lamms while waiting for the Maxx3.
I noticed that when i dont use my lamms for extended periods like two weeks, the sound becomes a bit off and takes awhile to get back to were they are.
Suggest that you use them with the avi, say 2-4 hours a week just so they are always run in.
Its hard to wear those down.

Good luck.

Serge,

I am waiting for you to come over here! Then after the auditions, we can go EAT all the "nice" things. Who knows, you may be more adventurous in trying out the exotic stuff.

Back to hifi, since my wife had accorded me the idea of a full MBL Reference system, and IF I do go that way, the same monies could have got me a Maxx 3 - first, then look for matching electronics (who knows, I may be like you ... Lamm ahhhh), then probable dCS Puccini + U Clock, etc, ..... The MBL Ref monies is quite a bit, so plenty of variations and combinations can be had. Just go to find the right one and probably END the change, this time once and for all! A loud promise which is a tough act to follow.

Anyway, for now, its all but dreams and for sure, I do envy you my friend. making progress in leaps and bounds.

Cheers!

Serge, Wow... Sounds like you'll have an excellent HT/2Ch system. Couple questions, How big will your new room be and what will you use for surround speakers (side/rears)? Looking forward to pictures of the room being built leading up to the MAXX3 reviews.

Congrats on the Maxx3 ! Those are amazing speakers. I wish I had more room to accomodate them.

That put my mind at ease as I do need some floor space for the motorized drop down screen that will be between them.

Speaking of side walls, how would the Sasha's do with one close (1.5 feet) to the side wall?

Jean-Marc, thanks. I'd love to have you over if I am in the new house by then!
