Toga, what you thought of the Moon 750D?

I think you should also try the Weiss Medea+ and the Chord QBD76 before you commit to the Accuphase combo.

Anatta, I have both 750D and Andromeda at same time and I found Andro to be much more energetic and dynamic, I don't feel anything special about 750d at all at that time and at that time I found Esoteric P03/D03 to be more organic sounding (in DSD upconversion mode), so I chose Esoteric. Today Accuphase is
a miles ahead. I have seen a friend of mine have trouble selling his old CD player before, so I will not try something that is not popular. Weiss and Chord are not popular brand here, only DAC202 that is popular, but I looking for CD player, not just a DAC.
I wish I could listen to Burmester 069+External Power before buying Accuphase, but it is just not available here yet.

Very nice Moon system you got there Toga; I must say, aesthetics wise, the Esoterics blend very well with the Evo electronics.

Anatta, thanks, the system above is history.
I replaced P8RS with ARC tube pre amp.
Esoteric gone.
750D and Andromeda were loan units.
Salon2 gone too...
But until now Moon W7M are still in service. love the power and speed.

Hi TOGA,
is also an airline abbreviation for Take Off / Go Around.... :-)) . Could you please share your experience of the Metronome Kalista Transport .Was it the Reference model with the silent base and Elektra power supply. How does it compare to the Accuphase. Have you by any chance heard the new Calypso reference. Your feedback will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Jazzhead, yes TOGA = full power, that 's the sound that I like too.
Kalista that I've tried you may see from picture I don't know the model.
But of all, Metronome make the most realistic 3D image. as if we can see players
in each location. They're also closer to the analog sound side than other too. Tonality
I think it is a bit darker than most. Accuphase has brighter tone, treble is much different than that of Motronome.. image is more diffused, but sound higher in details, sound like a great digital rather than analog. Accuphase will be much easier to sell and with greater resale value, So I am not interested in Metronome.

ah..Finally I got a chance to open boxes of my brand new Accuphase SACD/CD player .
Sound is really different from the demo units, so I will keep playing in repeat mode to expedite burn-in. one problem is the green HS-Link cable seems shorter than the demo units's. I just ordered longer cable from Acoustic Revive, the LAN-1.0A so that I can put
Accuphase center of the rack without forcing too much stress on connectors due short cable.

Thanks Joe, but the wallet is crying..
Your gears are great too. I wish I could have TAD speakers like you too. I love the R1, but ..you know why. Curious how the new MKII will sound.

Thanks!

I got rid of my wallet. It's empty .

I think there will be a little improvement. I can not imagine a night and day difference because they are already spectacular.
