Serge is correct, these are some of the most tweakable speakers currently available. The ability to adjust the speakers to your exact seating position is very nice, plus the ability to attenuate in 1/2 db increments is pretty cool. When I compare them to the Sasha's I sometimes question which of the two better integrates tweeter and mid-range. On some material I prefer the tweeter being on top as it is with the Sasha's. Jim |

Jean Marc,
I am joking with you my friend. Hifi is a very personal hobby and what suits me best may not be your cup of tea. If you are happy with the WP8's, stay with them. No reason to change as chasing the new will always have no end. I am making one last "kill" and am really weighing all the options I have with the monies I would like to spend this one LAST time (really, as my wife is the one who is going to sign the check). So, I am making very sure what I really wanted and thats it! Be happy and contended ever after. From what you have described, you do have a large room to house the Maxx3 and like both Serge and Jim mentioned, there are tweaks that you can do to maximise their performance in your room. Anyway, the final decision got to be yours as you are going to live with that and have to be happy. Whatever your decision is, I would really love to read about your experience! Cheers! |

go get the Maxx 3 !! Now if your ceiling is not high enough, I have a very simple solution : you put them in my room and you'll be able to come to listen whenever you want ! Ah ah ! Cheers Jerome

It just seems on some music the Sasha's tweeter presents the upper frequencies a bit better. For Me, the Maxx 3's hi's are not as defined. I am not sure if it is due to the having a mid range driver above the tweeter on the Maxx's or if a simple attenuation of the mid range would free up the high's. Overall I would still prefer the Maxx's in most situations. As most of us have noted there is no perfect speaker/amp combination for every type of music or room. Jim |
