Best Sounding DSD Downloads
A useful source of ONE piece of data on an album. Google 'Dynamic Range database' for the website - dr.loudness.war.info.
Very useful when deciding between different reissues of any given album. Also appalling to see what some of my favorite recordings actually provide in terms of dynamics.

Anything from soundliaison. I've sung their praises on other threads, but just amazing recordings. They have dad available, but I think it's a conversion (except for their latest from carmen Gomes which was mastered in DXD originally. Even the conversions sound awesome.

Try also "one" from psaudio. Fantastic recording, available in SACD or via download. Eclectic selection, but great stuff.

Agreed entirely, but note that they all sound great, irrespective of format.

Absolutely true, we're on the same page. I own a majority of their releases and they all sound exceptional!

Best Sounding DSD Downloads
With David's urging and live demonstrations of this music in his room, I purchased the DSD 128 versions of Arne Domnerus - Jazz at the Pawnshop along with Vol 2 and the Late Night albums. Sourced from NativeDSD.
Now I have listened to them in my room and can say they equal the best recordings I have heard there. It will make you feel like you were there drinking Swedish beer. No comparisons were made to the DSD64 or other 24 bit versions. I downloaded these huge versions just to see what it might bring - now if I can keep finding music this well recorded I am going to need a bigger NAS.
