Default Open Carry Presentation to Delegates

I found this rather interesting. Watch the first video then the second part.

He was clearly looking to be stopped, especially with his friend walking along his side with the video cam running.

It may be completely legal to walk down the road with a rifle like he did, just as it's completely legal for me to flip off a cop...both are stupid as far as I'm concerned.

Agreed. The first video was staged on purpose so it can be viewed by and presented to delegates to prove a point.

There are other states with open carry rules. I don't personally see a need for carrying long guns on you nor do I find it appropriate in most circumstances other than hunting or if you live in the remote or sparsely populated area and need to have a long gun for defense against wild animals. I don't even agree with open carry of a pistol. I do think it causes way too much unnecessary controversy and attention from those that do not carry firearms and even those that carry concealed and I can't say I blame them. Give the people the concealed carry permit if they choose to carry with all the proper background checks and do away with carrying long guns and pistols openly in public. But that's only my opinion.
