I turn off the 3060 and 2110 completely when not listening.

I use Boulderlink between my 2010 and 2060 and when I power off the 2010, the 2060 goes into standby. I do not completely power it off. Standby is sufficient -- it does not need to "warm up like tubes". It is entirely Class-A, but it's "Boulder Class-A" which you should read about if you have anything above a 1000 series Boulder amp. It will not heat up your room unnecessarily when it's idle.

Just visited a very nice system powered by a Boulder 3010 and 3050's. The owner plans to leave them in standby when not in use. |
