Maybe I should consider the S6, it does look sweet. So does the C43 AMG, which I was just reading about, and is growing on me. I guess I'm just overwhelmed by all the choices!

Anyone own an S6 or C43 AMG?

I did originally want a coupe, but I could be swayed.

I’ve owned about 60 cars in my life. My Audi S-6 was one of my favorites. Awesome power, incredible handling and if you don’t drive it like a crazy man, 25+highway mileage. Build quality is vastly superior to that of the MB.

I’d buy that car again in a heartbeat.

Sure you can. When we decided for the European pick-up (335), we did fire drills at the dealer with the three kids. It was a hoot.

Remember the scene in 'The Martian' with Matt Damon getting ready to launch?

After a discussion with GregInNH1 last night on the phone, I started looking at S6's, S7's, and Porsche Macan's. because the PNW is so wet, all wheel drive might be a big plus for me. All the power in the world won't mean much if the roads are damp, which they always are.

Definitely not what I was originally thinking about, but the more I read about them, the more I like them. We'll see, I need to drive all of these things and see what turns me on the most.

So far definitely driving: M4, newer S5, S6, S7, Porsche Macan
Possible interest: BMW 550, X3M40i, Investigate new 2020 M340i by driving the 330i to see how i like that.

I'd love to try an Alfa Romeo Guilia Quad-whatever but you simply cannot find one around here. Can't afford one new, has to be used and there is nothing. oh well.

Marc - it was a pleasure speaking with you last night! Remember the "search" is half the fun.
