Hi Ivan, - Do you have a MR88 Service Manual?

I would like to ascertain the modularity level of the current HD Radio module implementation for the Americas. I have put the question forward here in Oz as to whether there will be a factory based DAB+ AAC implementation variant for the Australian market.

I would be quite concerned if this type of mod was considered downstream by the dealer channel as there would be other factors besides decoding such as the MR88's ability to handle textual representation on its front panel. I would think that such a mod would not be possible because of the additional firmware requirements. I would be surprised if McIntosh would even consider shipping a voltage ready MR88 to Australia without considering the DAB+ requirement as opposed to the current HD Radio implementation.

Ivan, perhaps you are in a position to ascertain whether there is MR88 development in the pipeline for other regions?

I do hope our market for a fully functional MR88 variant will be considered by McIntosh. I would buy a DAB+ MR88 in a flash. You guys have the market volume and so get all the gravy...
