Well, I tackled this yesterday evening.
Thank goodness it was straight forward, four pots ( two for each meter ) green/blue adjustment...
The time consumer was matching four meters with the rest of the gear.

Listening in a darkened (not completely dark) room eliminates the visual cues associated with speaker towers, furniture, weird sculpture, etc. You may find that the holographic character of a superior stereo image may be more easily appreciated ("watched") in this manner. It's an old trick ... been doing it on occasion for over 40 years. My Mc and universal remotes are back lit, so one can control operations in a darkened environment. Closing one's eyes is something of the same thing, but doing so in a lighted room for the whole side of an LP is not very relaxing.

Give it a try.

Bob

Received this from Ryan at Audio Classics...

The MC402 already has led lighting in it. There is an adjustment for the lights if you want to increase the lighting…however its very tricky as there are two controls for green and blue lights. And that adjustment is for each side of the unit. If it is not done perfect, you lighting will unbalanced and will drive you insane! If you are willing to give it a try, simply remove the cover over the back of the front panel. There will be two screws in the top (just behind the font panel) and screws on either side (just behind the front panel) once the screws are out, that shroud will slide straight up and offf. There you will see a board right in the center of the back of the front panel. That is where the adjustments are.

Fixed the color of the meters on my MC611s this evening after getting instructions from Ryan. The two were way off. Getting to them in my console is a real pain or I might tweak a tad more.
