I own a pair of MC275 LE's driven by a C500 and strapped into mono configuration diving Focal Scalas.

I would like to try he MC2301's but I would NOT wish to leave the fifty year old design for its modern upstart.

The 275 will alway be, the 2301 will be replaced.

Checking in.
Got my 275v6 last September 2012. It's now driving SF grand pianos in stereo mode. Source is a Schiit bifrost and a Yamaha dspA1 as pre-amp.
Still hunting a used mc tube preamp to drive the 275

I like the butcher blocks as they allow you to display the 275s and keep them a short distance from the speakers. Do they do anything sonically interms of isolation or are they just for show?
